SAVE THE DATE: Destination Resort Hearing Sept. 17

Deschutes County Oregon -- August 20, 2008 4:01 PM --

On September 17 at 5:30 p.m., the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments to County Destination Resort Requirements. The amendments, submitted by Aspen Investment LLC, apply specifically to cluster developments, approved prior to 1992, that convert to a destination resort (DCC) 18.113.025 (A) and (B).

These changes would exempt setback and lot density requirements when a cluster development approved prior to February 1992 converts to a destination resort. For Aspen Lakes LLC, the text amendments:

Allow a developer to count existing residential units as a component of a destination resort; and,

Allow a developer to either build or provide financial assurance for facilities not yet built but required to qualify as a destination resort.

The hearing will be held at the Deschutes Service Center located at 1300 NW Wall Street, Bend in the Barnes and Sawyer meeting rooms on the first level of the building.

A copy of the proposal is available for inspection at the Deschutes County Community Development Department located at 117 NW Lafayette, Bend.

Please go online to www.deschutes.org/cdd/ for more information. You may also call 385-1709.

The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. For the deaf or hearing impaired, an interpreter or assistant listening system will be provided with 48 hours notice. Materials in alternate formats may be made available with 48 hours notice. For other assistance, please dial 7-1-1, State Relay Service.
