Deschutes County relies on taxes to pay for many important public services. The Assessor's Office is responsible for equitably assessing all properties within the County. The County Assessor bases assessments on valuation information and closely follows state adopted regulations. The County’s Finance and Tax Office is responsible for  processing all property tax payments.
