Deschutes County offers an excellent transportation system for moving around the County and has ample connections to other areas within Oregon and the nation. Deschutes County's central location within Oregon and a state maintained network of highways provides good connections to other parts of the state. The area is also served by two airports with major airlines flying into Roberts Field in Redmond. There are opportunities to travel around by walking, biking, ride-sharing, public transportation (DIAL A Ride), and by driving. Roads are relatively congestion free but can be snow covered in the winter so check current road conditions.
