DIVORCE is a difficult and complicated process but Deschutes County offers a program to assist the public in understanding and working through the court process.
TO FILE IN DESCHUTES COUNTY:
You must have lived in Oregon for the last six (6) months; and
One party must be a resident of Deschutes County.

- Provides information:
- on court procedures;
- community service resources;
- and assistance in completing the forms approved by the Deschutes County Circuit Court.
The facilitator is not an attorney, therefore NO LEGAL ASSISTANCE or ADVICE, will be provided. The facilitator is available to assist in the completion of the forms (listed below) and provide information regarding Deschutes County Circuit Court’s policies.

The documents are assembled in the six packets listed below. Instructions are included in each packet. Review each Packet's criteria to determine which one best describes your situation. - DISSOLUTION PACKET #1 - (Click here for Filing fee - Appropriate if the following applies)
- Married fewer than 10 years; and
- Have no minor children of the marriage; and
- Wife is not currently pregnant; and
- Own no real property (neither you nor your spouse have any interest in real property); and
- Are not requesting spousal support, and
- The personal property of the marriage is worth less than $30,000, and
- The debts of the marriage do not exceed $15,000.

- Married for more than 10 years; or
- Have minor children of the marriage; or
- Own real property; or
- Are requesting spousal support; or
- The personal property of the marriage is worth $30,000 or more; or

- Respondent intends to contest petition for dissolution; and
- There are minor children from the marriage
