Tammy Baney
DESCHUTES COUNTY, BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Deschutes County Commissioner Tammy Baney took office on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007. Commissioner Baney’s term expires December 31, 2011.
Tammy was born in Salem, Oregon, was raised in Deschutes County, and has attended Central Oregon Community College and the University of Phoenix. She has a background in small business management, and real estate sales.
Commissioner Baney’s government experience includes serving as the Elected Chair, Deschutes County Commission on Children & Families; Appointed Member, Oregon Commission on Children & Families Budget Committee; Local Public Safety Coordinating Council and the Family Law Advisory Committee.
A dedicated community member, Commissioner Baney has volunteered with many non-profit organizations. Baney has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA); Foster Parent; Habitat for Humanity Board Member; Founding Member, Family Access Network Foundation; and Chair of the Deschutes County Commission on Children & Families. She currently serves as Co-Chair/Founder of the Deschutes County Meth Action Coalition; Ex-officio, Family Access Network Foundation Board; NeighborImpact Board Member; Local Public Safety Coordinating Council Member; Public Health Advisory Board Liaison; Mental Health Advisory Board Liaison; Accountable & Behavioral Health Board Member; and is a member of the Association of Oregon Counties Health and Human Services Board.

Commissioner Baney enjoys spending time with her daughter Addy 8 and foster daughters Alesha 21, Ashley 23, and Lindsi 26. In her free time, Baney enjoys reading, cooking, and outdoor activities.
